My Dear Mother,
I have not time to wrtite you a very long letter this morning as I have to
Rite to Mrs Watts. I want you to send me those Ivanhoes cause I cannot wait till the holidays. I went out sketching yesterday by myself and I saw a lot of nice cows and a bull going along a road so I followed them into their meadow and made some sketches and then came home. The Dr has won the monthly medal at golf yesterday so I should say the others must have played badly. I suppose you know I am doing a Melee out of Ivanhoe it is getting on slowly. I I am going to school tomorrow boo hoo-o-o. I hope Ailsa and Margery and Granny etc are all right. I wish letter writing was at the bottom of the sea with tons of stuff (you know what) from your loving son
Brian
(Sketch of cows)
