My Dear Miggs,
Thank you for your bubbly letter this morning. As a matter of fact I cannot echo your enthusiasm. I went up this morning being varnishing day. And felt very sheepish when I say Julia looking like a dirty fried onion rather high up amongst some other frightful stunnours [stunners ?] It was the worst picture of the 3 so that is why it is hung. I can see no other reason. In great haste. Your loving.
B. darling.
